Mission Control
Throughout the past decade, Pop music in its purest form has all but ceased to exist in the modern music landscape. Gone are the dominating and chart-topping days of legendary Pop music acts such as The Beatles, Backstreet Boys, The Beach Boys, The Eagles, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and all those who throughout the course of history have ruled the music universe by properly defining what the genre of Pop truly is!
All of these aforementioned music legends began their rise to worldwide stardom at a very young age, often times while still in their teenage years. Each of them rose to the top of the music world with their incredibly memorable hit songs, timeless classics which will never fade away from human memory. Sadly that has been missing from the music industry throughout the past decade or so, a period of time which many respected music insiders and media members alike have now started to dub the "Dark Ages of Music" for its lack of unforgettable songs, especially those sugary Pop hits with hooks and lyrics that never leave the human mind, no matter how many years go by.
From "A Hard Day's Night" by The Beatles, to "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson, to "Surfin' USA" by The Beach Boys, to "Hotel California" by The Eagles, and to what many have recently started to refer to as perhaps the greatest pure Pop song ever recorded, "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys, real Pop music in its purest form has touched music listeners everywhere throughout history in ways that the music of this past decade never has, and certainly never will. While there have been some rare exceptions to that, a few songs that will indeed stand the test of time such as the specific ones mentioned at the very beginning of this paragraph, for the most part the "timeless classic" has simply vanished into the "bygone airwaves of yesteryear", perhaps following into oblivion the once-proud commercial radio industry, which in its heyday was mostly responsible for making those songs the all-time hits that they still are, and will always be.
Somewhere out there in the vast expanse of the universe, those songs are still playing regularly on a faint radio frequency that one may only pick up on either the surface of the moon or in the beautiful glow of the Aurora Borealis. Songs that are now out there floating around outer space and literally "playing for the stars", the creative calling cards of legendary human stars that will never be forgotten for their signature tunes. Perhaps these songs deserve such a fate for being the timeless classics that they truly are. Rocket Records, with our very name being a slight metaphor for outer space itself, aims to launch a new generation of human stars. Our mission is to put into orbit the incredibly talented young teenage artists who will pay homage to their legendary Pop predecessors through a brand-new "set" of their own timeless classics, soon to hit the universe and impact it in the same vein as those sugary and unforgettable Pop hits of a bygone era once did. Many of the most legendary Pop artists of all-time saw their greatest triumphs come in their late teens and early-20's, young stars who lit up the universe with their unforgettable music and "larger than life" personas, enough to electrify the music listening audiences of their specific eras a billion times over.
Mission Control is all systems go, the countdown to "re-launch" is officially over, and our rocket is headed out on its mission to the stars, carrying with it a stellar lineup of young human stars who will soon be "shooting" to deliver the sweet Pop and timeless classics which are the sugar of our galaxy's ears, and which will finally deliver to the entire universe the music that it once again both wants and needs. Our mission will not be complete until this has occurred. Rocket Records is now orbiting the "Pop universe". Prepare for blastoff!
